About Citizens Academy:
The Town will offer its second Citizens Academy beginning in September 2018. The free course will be held on Tuesday evenings in September and October for seven weeks and will conclude with a graduation recognition at the November 12 Town Council meeting. The Citizens Academy provides Harrisburg residents and business owners with an opportunity to learn about the structure and function of local government.
The sessions, held 6-8 p.m., will be in various locations throughout Harrisburg, including the old Post Office, Town Hall and the Public Works facility. Department managers will give presentations and participants will be able to express their concerns, ask questions and gain a better understanding of what each department does.
