Shelter Information

There are multiple shelters located within Harrisburg Park - see below for photos and details. Shelters can be rented to secure availability or may be used on a first-come, first-served basis if not reserved or already in use. To inquire about shelter availability, please call 704-455-7275 x option 1 or email [email protected] Completed Shelter Reservation Request Forms (linked above and below) should be emailed to [email protected] or brought to the Parks & Recreation office for review. Payment for approved reservations can be made over the phone or in person. Reservations are not confirmed until payment is made. 
NOTE: The shelters at Harrisburg Park are not available for rent on Saturdays during fall and spring sports seasons. No rental requests will be accepted for Saturday dates from mid-August through mid-November or mid-March through mid-June. Additional "blackout" dates may be necessary due to Town events and programing.

Shelter #1:
Larger Shelter (12 tables, 2 grills, electricity). Restroom facilities. Located at the top of the hill next to the pump track. Shelter 1
 
Shelter #2:
NOTE: This shelter has minimal rental availability and will not be available for reservation during youth and athletics seasons and/or other times as determined by Harrisburg Parks and Recreation.
Large Shelter (8 tables, grill, electricity) with restrooms and concession stand attached (not available for rent).

Shelter #3:
Larger Shelter (8 tables, grill, electricity). Restrooms attached. Located adjacent to a parking lot and pond.

Shelter #4:
Smaller Shelter (6 tables, grill, electricity). Located adjacent to a parking lot and the splash pad. No restrooms attached.

Smaller Shelter (6 tables, grill, electricity). Located adjacent to the playground. No restrooms attached.

Harrisburg Park is certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a wildlife habitat. The Harrisburg branch of the Cabarrus County library system is also located just inside the park entrance.
