Description:
Pursuant to North Carolina General Statutes (NCGS) 143-131, sealed Bids for the construction of the FRANCES HAVEN & FARMINGTON PUMP STATION DECOMMISSIONING will be
received in the Council Chambers of the Town Hall by the Town of Harrisburg (Owner) at Town
of Harrisburg, 4100 Main St, Harrisburg, North Carolina 28075 until 10:00 AM local time on
Friday, July 24th, 2020 at which time, all Bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The Project consists of constructing the following:
1. Construction of 1567 LF of 8-inch sanitary sewer pipe;
2. Construction of 13 sanitary sewer manholes;
3. Demolition of two existing sanitary sewer pump stations;
4. Three buried sanitary sewer stream crossings;
5. Civil/site work including erosion control, clearing & grubbing and other
miscellaneous work;
6. Miscellaneous restoration activities.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated
in the Bidding Documents. Bidders are hereby notified that they must be properly licensed as
required by Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes.

Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.

Electronic copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office by contacting Andrea Wiley via email . Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office Cost for complete set of Bidding Documents is $100.00. Make check payable to Gavel & Dorn Engineering, PLLC. No refunds will be made for the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Drawings or Specifications will not be available from the Issuing Office.

Neither Owner nor Engineer has any responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or sufficiency of any Bidding Documents obtained from any source other than the Issuing Office. Obtaining these documents from any source other than the Issuing Office may result in obtaining incomplete and inaccurate information. Obtaining these documents from any source other than the Issuing Office may also result in failure to receive any addenda, corrections, or other revisions to the Bidding Documents that may be issued.

The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids and any portion of any bid they deem necessary for the best interest of the Town, to accept any item or group of items unless qualified by the bidder, to acquire additional quantities at prices quoted on the bid form.

Pre-Bid Conference and Site Walk
A pre-bid conference and site walk will be held on Tuesday, July 7th, 2020 at 9:00 am. The prebid meeting and site will be held outside due to ongoing public health issues. Pre-bid and site walk will be held at the Frances Haven Pump Station located at 8025 Frances Haven Drive, Harrisburg, NC 28075. A site visit to the Farmington Pump Station will follow. Attendance at the pre-bid and contractor site visit is encouraged but not mandatory.
