The Town of Harrisburg, is seeking Qualification Statements from professional economic development consultants or teams of consultants to develop a Strategic Economic Development Plan (“SEDP”) for the Town. The SEDP will serve as a guide for the Town’s efforts to catalyze economic growth and development over a five-year timeframe. The SEDP is intended to be an actionoriented plan that will inform and guide Town officials, residents, property owners and developers in making sound policy and investment decisions which will lead to the expansion of the Town’s tax base and economic wealth.
The timeframe for completion of the plan will depend on the final scope of work – which may, or may not include all of the tasks identified in the RFQ. If, after the Town selects a consultant, it determines that additional time is required, then we will consider modifying the schedule.
The budget has not been finalized for this project, but will depend upon the final scope of work.
Again, that is a question which we will address with the consultant chosen to complete the plan.
