Smoke Detector Application

Smoke alarm batteries in your home should be changed every 6 months and tested monthly to make sure they are properly functioning. 
Tip: to make sure you don't forget to change your batteries, just try to remember to do it every daylight saving time. 

At the Harrisburg Fire Department, we offer FREE smoke detectors to homes in the community that were built in 1999 or before. Our smoke detectors are battery operated only. They are installed with a fresh battery. All you need to do is fill out the form below and email it [email protected] or contact our administration office at 704-455-3574 to schedule a time to have them installed by our fire team!
