Vulgar language Personal attacks of any kind Comments or content that promotes, fosters or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, genetics, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or intellectual disability or sexual orientation Spam or links to other sites Clearly off-topic statements Statements advocating illegal activity Promotions of particular services, products, or political organizations Infringement of copyrights or trademarks Personally identifiable medical information Information that may compromise the safety, security or proceedings of public systems or any criminal or civil investigations.
Photography & Internet Waiver
The Town of Harrisburg reserves the right to photograph and film attendees/participants of all ages for publicity purposes during Town programs, events, public meetings and other Town-sponsored activities. Images or videos may be used for program flyers, advertising, Town website and social media, or other forms of Town communication.
Attendance/participation at such events, including but not limited to: Harrisburg Parks and Recreation athletics, special events, recreation programs and Town business meetings, constitutes the participant/attendee's irrevocable consent to be photographed, videotaped and recorded.
The participant/attendee's irrevocable consent to the use of the participant/attendee's likeness by the Town of Harrisburg and others acting on the Town's behalf, for the purpose of advertising and promotion in any media, throughout the world in perpetuity, including but not limited to television and the Internet.
The participant/attendee's waiver of any compensation or permission for such use. Exceptions to this policy must be submitted in writing to the Communications Director prior to photography/filming.
Participants/attendees are asked not to photograph or film other program participants/attendees without their knowledge and consent. If you are taking pictures or videos of your child to post online, please avoid capturing identifiable images of other children. Please do not post photos of other people’s children online without their parent’s consent.
