The NC Department of Transportation is collecting feedback on services that could expand mobility options to seniors and individuals with disabilities.
NCDOT's Statewide Locally Coordinated Plan (LCP) will identify gaps and needs throughout the state to plan for projects and services that will improve and expand mobility options for older adults and people with disabilities.

The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) serves Harrisburg with the 80x commuter route. Several other routes serve the nearby University of North Carolina at Charlotte campus.
By Rail
A full-service train station is located 12 miles and 25 minutes from Harrisburg Town Center in downtown Charlotte. A station with no ticket office is located 16 miles and 25 minutes northeast of Harrisburg in Kannapolis, North Carolina.
