Troy Selberg is serving his first term as a Council member, with his term expiring in December of 2021.
For almost 30 years, Troy enjoyed a successful career in Motorsport, and he also hosted a TV show and was a color commentator for sports radio. For the past 15 years, Troy has worked as an C-level Executive consultant in the manufacturing, construction and online services verticals, where he implements Six Sigma and Behavior Sciences.
Before serving on Council, Troy served on the Harrisburg Planning and Zoning Advisory Board and the Harrisburg ArtWalk Committee.
Troy is a co-founder of the Harrisburg Arts, Culture and Heritage Committee, a sub-committee of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, that provides a voice, specific for the Arts, Culture and Heritage of the Harrisburg community.
Troy is in his second term on the Executive Board of Centralina Regional Council. As one of the fastest-growing metro areas in the country, Centralina has a diverse set of guiding plans. Centralina provides specialized and technical services, professional development and networking opportunities for local governments and their staff.
Troy also sits on the Executive Board of the Cabarrus County Education Foundation where he oversees the marketing committee. The Cabarrus County Education Foundation is a nonprofit resource and advocate for students and educators of Cabarrus County Schools (CCS).
Troy is a member of the Harrisburg YMCA Board. The Harrisburg YMCA is one of six YMCAs under the ROWAN-CABARRUS YMCA umbrella. The Board is currently raising funds to build a new state of the art facility with a multiple lane swimming pool in the Harrisburg Park.
Troy currently is the Town Council liaison for the Harrisburg Business Alliance (HBA).
Troy and his wife, Carol, are 26-year residents of Harrisburg. They have raised two children, both involved in area sports and thriving in the school systems. Troy enjoys building metal art work and playing golf, corn hole and chess.
