Winter 2023 Art Classes
Students will explore creating art with many mediums, techniques, and applications. They will create a painting, drawing, collage/mixed media, and a piece of 3-D work done in air-dried clay. Each session is a different project! It is such a fun time for the artists and a place to just be creative, so please join us for one or both winter sessions!
Time: 5:30pm to 6:30pm
Ages: 6-10
Fee: $85 per student, per session
Session 1: Tuesdays, January 3rd to February 7th
Session 2: Tuesdays, February 21st to March 28th
Classes will be held in the Municipal Complex at Harrisburg Town Hall.
Supplies will be provided.
Pre-registration is required.
Summer 2023 Art Camps:
This summer art camp involves lots of hands-on art making! Students will explore a mix of medias such as painting, sculpture, fibers and drawing. Each class will begin with a little activity, a game or drawing, then we will use the reaminder of the time to create individual projects and end with cleaning up.
This is a place where students can create new projects and just have fun! Potential projects are clay sculpture, yarn weaving, watercolor scene with fun blended colors, and step by step drawing paying attention to proportion.
Materials provided. Please bring a water bottle and snack!

**Instructors may or may not contact you prior to the camp/class start date. Please plan on arriving on the first day at the designated location and time.

About Instructor: Christina Thomas
Mrs. Thomas is a dedicated, passionate art teacher. She has been teaching since 2015. She started teaching at Francis Bradley Middle School in Huntersville but currently teaches at West Cabarrus High School. She continues to paint in her free time and create commission pieces. Mrs. Thomas graduated from UNC-Charlotte with a Bachelor in Fine Arts with a concentration in painting and art education, along with a minor in art history. Mrs. Thomas is happily married to her amazing husband and has one sweet little boy!
