HARRISBURG PARKS AND RECREATION
It is the mission of
The department strives to develop and maintain safe and attractive parks and recreation areas; to partner and cooperate with other town departments, area agencies, sponsors and organizations to address the leisure needs of residents in the most cost-effective manner, and to support the physical, mental, moral and economic health of our community through provision and promotion of special events as well as traditional recreational programs and opportunities. CLASSES ADULT COED AND MEN'S FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE
The league is scheduled to start Saturday, December 6th. All games are on Saturdays through the middle to end of February. Coed at 9am, 10am and 11am. Men's at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. Men play 1/2 field. Team cost is $350. Registration deadline is Friday, November 14th. You can register by calling 704-455-5614 or clicking on the link at the top of this page. Must be 18 to play. STALLINGS ROAD PARK IS NOW OPEN!!
Located at 4050 Stallings Road (next to Harrisburg Elementary); Come check out the new shelter, playground equipment, tennis courts and walking trail. (The fields are currently not open)
AFTERSCHOOL TENNIS CLASSES Classes run either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday OR Thursday for 4 weeks
5-8 year olds from 4-4:30pm - $35/person for 4 classes
9-15 year olds from 4:30-5:30pm - $45/person for 4 classes
At Stallings Road Park Tennis Courts; NEW Classes start Monday, Nov. 3rd, Tuesday, Nov. 4th and Thursday Nov. 6th
ADULT TENNIS CLASSES Beginner Tennis Class:
Mondays from 6:30pm-7:30pm; $44/person for 4 classes; NEW Session starts Nov. 3rd
Hit or Miss:
(For the Intermediate player; focuses on hitting the ball)
Mondays from 7:30pm-8:30pm; $44/person for 4 classes; NEW Session starts Nov. 3rd
Cardio Clinics:
Tuesdays from 9:30am - 10:30am; $44/person for 4 classes; NEW Session starts Nov. 4th - At Stallings Road Park Tennis Courts
KID'S FOR PETS CLUB A youth club affiliated with the Humane Society of Cabarrus County. We are a group for youngsters who work to promote the health and welfare of sheltered animals. The groups meet once a month and participates in 'hands on' days at the main shelter on Hwy 49 where they learn to care and nurture sheltered animals. The purpose of this group is to teach young people that they are able to help even at a very young age and the importance of caring for all animals. YOGA
On-going program that meets at Harrisburg Presbyterian Church. Meets Monday nights at 6:30 pm OR Tuesday mornings at 9:00 am. Lasts six weeks. This park contains 1 full size football field, 1 full size soccer field, 1 picnic shelter, 1 volleyball court, playground equipment, a paved walking trail and 2 horseshoe pits. The picnic shelter and fields are available for rental at the following fees:

This park contains 2 full size baseball/ softball fields (the fields are currently not open and can not be reserved at this time), 1 picnic shelter, playground equipment, 3 tennis courts and a gravel walking trail.

The Shelter is available for Rental under the same guidelines as Harrisburg Park (see above). The Shelter is available for rental from 8am-8pm. To reserve the shelter, please call 704-455-5614 or email sline@harrisburgnc.org Sports Equipment for Rent What's Available: 2 volleyballs, bocce ball set and horseshoes set Fee: $25 ($5 is non-refundable; $20 is refundable at the return of the equipment) Policy: Must fill out a rental form and return equipment promptly and in good condition
