HOME INSTEAD SENIOR CARE SEMINARS
Held in the Town Hall Council Chambers

Thursday, February 5th at 6:30pm - FREE

Some times I feel like a piece of bologna!

The situation where hundreds of Americans are finding themselves today- squeezed between their own jobs, spouse, and children and taking care of aging parents or grandparents. This program will help define some of these situations and offer some practical solutions to finding help for your parents, either in their own home or in a facility and help for you- the one trying to care for everyone!

Thursday, February 19th at 9:30am - FREE

40-70 Rule

The "40-70 Rule" is about talking sooner rather than waiting until a crisis had occurred about sensitive life topics that often make conversation difficult, such as driving ( or not driving any more), dating, finances and independence. The idea being that if you're 40, or your parents are 70, it's time to start talking. The same is true of the "70-40 Rule." If you're 70 and your kids are 40, it's time to start talking about some of the issues of concern to older adults as they age. And it's never too late to begin a meaningful conversation with the kids.  Attending this seminar will lend ideas on how to get these sensitive conversations started.
