LOCAL INCENTIVES

Harrisburg and Cabarrus County have the ability to offer incentives to companies that create well-paying new jobs and make substantial capital investment in the community.  The incentives are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and when appropriate are based on a percentage of new taxable investment. 

Harrisburg Economic Development Incentive Grant Policy

Cabarrus County Economic Grant Program  

Another financing tool to help encourage economic development projects is the Tax Increment Grant Policy.  This program allows developers to fund public infrastructure projects that will benefit from new private development in a defined area.  

Customized Training Program

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College offers a Customized Training Program that supports the economic development efforts of the state by providing education and training opportunities for eligible businesses and industries.  

 

STATE INCENTIVES

The State of North Carolina provides several financial options for qualified companies relocating or expanding in the area.  They also offer other business resources and costs-savings programs.
