In an effort to better inform Harrisburg residents about proposed development projects, the Town holds monthly Neighborhood Developer Meetings on the third Thursday of each month (schedule subject to change) beginning at 6 p.m. at Town Hall located at 4100 Main Street.
The Town of Harrisburg Arts, Culture and Heritage Committee, a sub-committee of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, provides a voice, specific for the Arts, Culture, and Heritage of the Harrisburg community. The Committee consists of individuals who live in the local region and community and have an interest in supporting and preserving:
- The arts of Harrisburg
- History and heritage
Through monthly meetings, information obtained from the Arts, Culture and Heritage Committee is provided to Harrisburg Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and Town Council to help make informed decisions that support the arts, culture, and heritage of the community.

The Sustainability Advisory Board is a volunteer board consisting of up to 15 members who live in and/or around the Town of Harrisburg. The mission of the board is to coordinate, initiate, and promote sustainability within the Town of Harrisburg and its surrounding areas.

Harrisburg Town Council meets on the second Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at Town Hall, 4100 Main St. For more detail about agenda and pre-meeting topics, contact the Town Clerk at 704-455-7705.
Anyone wishing to address Town Council may sign up upon arrival prior to the meeting and speak during the Public Comment section of the meeting. Speakers are required to state name and address for the record, be courteous and are not allowed to repeat what has already been said. Please keep your comments relative to the subject and not personal in nature.
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meets at 6 p.m. at Town Hall on the third Monday of every month. The Board recommends policies, projects and possible funding opportunities to the Town Council, as well as acting as a liaison to the community, soliciting volunteers and making recommendations to the Parks and Recreation Department on opportunities to improve the quality of life for Harrisburg residents through affordable, family-oriented programming, parks and special events. The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is a volunteer board consisting of seven members. All seven members reside in the Town of Harrisburg.
Harrisburg Business Alliance (HBA) is developing as a non-profit business networking organization comprised of business and community leaders committed to enabling communications and cooperation between businesses and the town government to enhance and encourage economic growth and development in Harrisburg. Our primary goal is to create a thriving business environment through marketing and promotions, participation in events and programs and the support of investments in the physical environment.
