As the Town of Harrisburg continues its Storm Water Drainage Improvement Project, providing residents with the most current, up-to-date information is certainly a priority.
With that in mind, a new website has been dedicated to the ongoing project. The site offers a wide variety of resources and information, including general project information, upcoming events, and contact information.
Town residents can also utilize the site for providing feedback about the project. A new Storm Water Drainage Improvement Project Survey requests input about soil erosion issues, flooding problems and other drainage concerns in Harrisburg. The same survey was mailed to residents this week (with water bills) and can be returned to Town Hall or completed online.
"The Town of Harrisburg would like to know if you have experienced drainage problems on your property," notes the survey. "Our purpose is to gather information from citizens to help us identify areas in the Town that are suffering from poor drainage, flooding, and/or erosion due to storm water runoff. The information you provide will be incorporated into the Storm Water Drainage Improvement Project. The end result will be a Storm Water Improvement Plan that prioritizes problem areas and creates a plan to make improvements—putting your storm water fees to work!"
