It’s called the 3P Program because it’s your Personal Pursuit of Points (3 Ps) and here’s how it works:
Employees will need to earn a total of 1,500 points in order to receive a Paid Day Off (8 hours for general staff and 24 hours for Fire shift personnel). The program runs from July 1, 2021 until June 30, 2022 and employees accumulate points by completing tasks or exercises in different categories. New employees hired after December 1, 2021 will need to complete at least 1,000 points. All other extenuating circumstances must be approved by the Wellness Committee.
The categories include:
Wellness Exams – Getting a physical from your doctor, an eye exam from your optometrist or ophthalmologist, or even getting the flu shot all count toward making the goal of 1,500 points.
Brain Power – This is an educational category which includes things such as lunch and learns, attending your Benefits Meeting, or the Employee Health Fair.
Let’s Get Physical – If you’re serious about getting fit and healthy, then join a gym, attend a specialty fitness class, or participate in a Run/Walk Event and continue to earn the points you need to get a paid day off.
Miscellaneous – Maybe you prefer to help by volunteering your services, or maybe you want to try something you’ve never done before. Stepping outside your comfort zone and/or helping yourself or others can help earn your points.
