The Harrisburg July 4th Celebration began in the late 90s as way to honor and celebrate our military and their families. Holding to the same tradition, the festival has grown to be one of the most well-attended July 4th festivals in the region, hosting more than 30,000 people over the two days of the event. This annual celebration would not be possible without the support of our sponsors. We are excited to Celebrate the 23rd Anniversary of the event this year!!
In 2019, the Fireworks show on the 4th of July was doubled, totaling over 30 minutes of spectacular fireworks on Independence Day! In 2020, Harrisburg Park underwent a park renovation and expansion, which was completed in March 2021. Harrisburg Park is almost doubled in size and includes an amphitheater, splash pad, new, larger playground, new shelters, 5 soccer / multi-purpose fields, open space, walking trails and more!
When coming to the Harrisburg July 4th Celebration, one can expect to see amusements - rides and inflatables for all ages, a plethora of food vendors to choose from and two nights of live music, featuring a National Act on the 4th of July! Visitors can also expect to see the park festively decorated for the Independence Day Celebration with balloons, flags and bunting!
