The Department also offers input and guidance on the Town’s water supply and distribution, wastewater treatment-WSACC, and applying for grants.

Design & Construction Specifications

The Town utilizes the following specifications and standards for its infrastructure design.  All other water or sewer infrastructure details should use the Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County (WSACC) specifications.

Engineering responsibilities include plan review, reviewing applicable permits and encroachment agreements related to development applications and observing the construction of new public infrastructure to ensure compliance with local, State and federal regulations. The Department compiles final engineered as-built/record drawings of new water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure.

This Department maintains a frequent communication relationship with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), the Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County (WSACC), several divisions of the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources (NCDENR) and Cabarrus County.
